How to fix rain damaged audio? Is it possible?

Hey y’all,

So yesterday I was shooting in the rain that had a dialogue scene which went pretty well. However, I don’t think the cover I had was enough as the audio in the scene is barely audible other than this loud amp noise. Is there any way I can fix this? @Kevin_Senzaki

Thanks in advance.

The specifics are always what matter in situations like this - how your signal-to-noise ratio is, exactly what the quality of the noise is (steady noise is easier to remove than irregular), and also how the scene’s going to be presented in the finished product - the overall final mix will affect how much you can denoise the audio.

That being said, if the speech is pretty buried, and in addition to that the words are difficult to make out, you’re probably not going to be able to do much, and ADR may be necessary.

If you’d like me to take a look at it, feel free to post a link here or DM me one!
